Apologies in advance but this pitch business is really bugging me

Wheelchair users, new regulations mean you need to have ramps for the pitch.

That's possible.
But it's obvious you're taking the Mick.
I'd like to know if any of the previous replies are from anyone who's been to Goodison this season.
Only then might I begin to doubt myself

If they did raise the pitch by that much the front row of the family enc would be pretty useless.

Perhaps they have just levelled the pitch, as it is usually higher in the centre. This meaning that there appears to be a drop to the side?

If it helps I did notice the slope down the sides of the pitch mate, as I was sat at pitch level. It's quite apparent. Must be a draining thing I suppose? Not sure if the pitch was raised.

it has been raised, i seen it me self at the betis game, the netw system must of required it? **** knows what theyve got under there, draining ect..

Hi all fellow Evertonians,
Just a quickie but I can't clear my mind of what I saw at Goodison when we played Real Betis.
THE PITCH! It all looked so different and it made the whole ground look different but I was the only one who seemed to notice. Others around me thought I was barking. I can't get it out of my mind.
I know we've had pitch improvements and I've seen plenty written about new turf, injected with plastic threads or whatever but that's not my point.
In my opinion the pitch appeared to be up to eighteen inches higher (guesstimate) than last season!
Complete with sloping ramp down to the path for the players to retrieve the ball. And I believe the path is higher too!
I thought the linesman was going to step back and fall off the pitch at one point!
Am I right? Am I wrong? Have they just taken eighteen inches off the top of the wall?
Please someone put me out of my misery cos it matters to me. It looked so crazy different. I don't know who else to ask.
Come on you Blues!
Just admit it mate you have come out of the closet and started wearing High heels and womens clothes ,Each to there own fella but not at the match eh.

There really is a drop to the side and I would say the front row of the family enclosure could well be pretty useless.
