Poor Richy went from a relegation scrap with watford, to one with us and now one with spursI'm not excited at the prospect of Richy having to experience it after what he did for us, TBH.

The only way I can possibly get my head around it is if you are just a fan of the occasion, and your local club offers that. It's definitely a thing. I wouldn't necessarily go as far as saying I know people who like being relegated, but there are fairly obviously different levels to these things and some clubs see seasons in the PL as a bit of a bonus where they're fully aware they'll eventually run out of road and go down, it's a different attitude to that of clubs like Everton and Spurs where fans are still hoping for a return to the top table and relegation is almost unthinkable. It also makes a difference if you have a monolithic neighbour who are doing trophy winning parades past your house while you're crying into your cornflakes.

It doesn't matter what league you are in, if you support the club, you want to see progress not regress..
Supporting the club or the occasion![]()
Yeah but that's if you're just looking between 2 different leagues, the Championship doesn't carry the VAR tack which is killing everything. but say you start pushing for playoffs/title, what happens. do you start panicking and hope you lose..I can see why some smaller clubs might prefer playing in the championship, but find it mad fans of a club the size of Leeds would have that view.
If you're coming in to the prem and winning like 4/5 games in a whole season it can't be a nice experience.Championship games are also about £20 odd for a ticket, and clubs who get mullered in the PL can actually win the Championship or get to Wembley.

Or do you go into the season with the dream of winning the league, but leaving it there. you've achieved a great goal but you don't fancy the next step.
I can't find logic other than a fan of the occasion.
Maybe you need to look at clubs like Blackpool, Wigan, Swansea, Luton, Pompey, and see what there fans think, as they have tasted it and fallen away..
I can happily go and watch another game with mates, and just enjoy the occasion. But that's because there is no emotional attachment to the clubs.
She was a lesbian tbf. She must have beenThey say that to make themselves feel better about the fact that they can't survive in the PL. Its like a fella getting the knock back from a bird in town and going full on denial and saying "yeah well I didn't fancy her anyway!". Go ask any team that's been stuck down in the championship for an extended time if they prefer being there and would be disappointed to leave via promotion.
We need a thread and get every clubs fanbase to get involved.I think they probably come up with a bit of optimism and then get utterly sick of wining only a handful of games all season.
I'm not speaking from a position of experience, so maybe that's just a bit of bravado and putting a brave face on it when they know they're doomed.
