Hope we get The Donk in on a permanent deal, despite his potentially season ending injury. Even in only two games, he has shown more than enough potential and Unsie seems to think so too.

...the timing of that injury is such a shame for the lad. It would be a leap of faith to sign him on the back of a few weeks, I wonder if there's a possibility of extending the loan. Much might depend on who else is on our radar. The game can be so cruel.

On the basis of what I saw in his televised game for us snippets from Germany U20s I'd say he deserves a second chance. The opportunity to see him on loan for a season and then make up your mind is an incredible deal if we get the same terms . In fact if Wolfsburg are reluctant to loan him I'd say take a chance and buy him for £1.5 mill. We don't have anybody like him in the U23s, with Donkor, Sambou , plus another like George Hirst from Sheffield Wed, we would have a young, sharp attacking trio good enough to put pressure on the likes of Dowell, Evans etc to make them raise their game.

Yep, in the Norwich away game which I was at. There were a few local Blues there and we were looking forward to seeing what he could do, and he went off after about 10 mins. Didn't realise he was still injured mind
