Don't understand the hate for big vic. Think he proved himself a bit last season, he got quite a few goals in the end. If there was a young up and coming striker who did what he did last season, we'd all be wanting to give him a proper chance (ie Vellios).

thats what vic did about 6 years ago tho mate, he's only scored 12 goals in that time. he certainly is not the worst out there, and will be better than anything else wigan have atm, just dont think he's quite good enough for us

It just seems to me that he lacks in stamina and balance now, he’s built like a sprinter, not a footballer. My guess is that he does too much power work, possibly when he was injured that time and I think it’s affected his game.

He's been injured throughout a lot of it though. Since he's become fully fit, he's proven himself I think. Definitely worth keeping in any case.

I'm sure you no much more than me changy buy I find it very hard to believe are business is done. Without doubt we need another striker and a right winger unless he's settled on Naismith Coleman and ossie playing there till maybe a deal can be done for Donovan. But surely a deal for a striker must still be on the cards... Whether that's a loan/free or whatever, we really be in trouble if jelavic got injured!

I've got no sources at all but my feeling is that this is correct. We have probably bought what we can to improve us and sold what we need to to cover it.
