Angus 'happily dissatisfied' Kinnear

What had he done at Leeds to get the job here?

Managing director Angus Kinnear said: "In the past year we have worked very hard as a club to re-engage fans and the wider community across Leeds.

"Once we heard that there was a desire for change to help herald a new era for club, it became of primary importance that the new crest clearly reflected who we are."

[Edit] My favourite bit of that, is after proclaiming the depth of consultation and confidence and pride of the badge, when they u-turned he then told press the fans should trust them

"As we look at the feedback today I think it's clear that the consultation process that we embarked on, that we were very confident had delivered a result, wasn't extensive enough," Kinnear said.

"We need to reopen that consultation process very clearly and I think that is what I have come on here to say.

"But also that the fans should really trust us because we have been so impressed by the level of support they give us and the sense of unity that we have between the board and the supporters and players.

I still can’t actually believe he sat down with the team 0 wins in 5 (soon to be 0 in 6!) with europe having been in touching distance, and he’s actually lecturing people about “other fanbases” clamouring for change, as if wanting and demanding better than the absolute cack we’ve been served up is a bad thing or worse, kopite behaviour.

Shut up and don’t complain. Kenwrightian communication

Lots of the teams we should be competing with have much higher standards and far more impatience to improve. You don't hear them constantly reminding fans that we weren't in a relegation battle

Until we have leadership off the field that holds players and managers to account, and wants to properly compete in the top half of the table, then nothing changes.

I'm fed up hearing people in the club try to tell us we are expecting to much. Asking for a competitive Everton isn't what they want to hear. They want to keep the bar and expectations as low as possible to try and look good.

We’ve added ONE permanent player to our starting eleven (a team that was struggling in the bottom half), and this chump thinks our ‘2 window plan’ is all going well.

Sick of these snake oil salesmen.
The only thing I can think of is that he likely feels he needs to come out and paint a rosy picture of our "progress" as it'll make his bosses look favourably on him, especially seeing how they are seemingly leaving him to run the club.

'Happily dissatisfied.'

In the long, sorry history of total turd being spoken by people involved with Everton, I think this might be the most pipe-clogging.

I'd been warned this guy was absolute flannel by my Leeds-supporting mate, and he wasn't wrong.
Just hollow corporate speak feels like something that would be said in the film office space

Thought I'd dig out what my mate said at the time we hired him:

I’d not only drive him to Everton but would carry him on my back and walk barefoot 😅

He’s the final part of the disastrous set of clowns we’ve had in charge for years and will be delighted to see the back of him…

Hopefully you’ll get the vanilla yes man version of him, if the rest of the ownership team is good, you’ll be fine, if there are some characters that need managing, he’s a wet lettuce…

The timing of his latest words is very naive. Haven’t heard from him in months and months and he comes out with this rubbish just before six game without a win. You plonker.

Should be asking the question why have we bottled 6 games.
