This will probably start a slanging match but what the heck

Liked this at the end actually

Everton owners have long been culpable for not coming up with a plan to move with rapidly changing *commercial times.

But if anyone – even after the stirring events of this season – still believes him worthy of abuse, consider this.

While Kenwright is there, you will always play in blue, you will always be Everton, you will always have a chairman who has the club in his blood.

And, in this day and age, that has got to count for something.

Shows what a sorry state the English game is in when the mere fact a chairman lets his team play in the right colour is now something to be lauded.

I agree with most of the article though. Kenwright may not be the best chairman in the world but I have no doubt that he is an Everton fan

We are 15 days away from the 14th anniversary of Kenwright and his various cronies becoming the owners of Everton.

14 years with zero investment into the team from them; no assets other than the ground we play in and those running around in blue jerseys - because it's all been sold off; saddled with debt after the biggest bonanza in football history when clubs have been raking it in for a decacde and a half; and two failed stadium schemes that sees Everton in a ground that requires constant repair to remain open.

Yes, well done Bill. We still play in blue...and *only you* saw Martinez as someone who might do a job for us.

But the crux of the matter is we are unable to achieve much without money. He might be a dream chairman to work with but we will always be struggling to keep up with the rest despite having a new saviour in RM.

"Investment" - at least in terms to getting to the CL level - is a bit of a misnomer though; as practiced in the EPL it either means getting some dodgy billionaire in with all that that entails, or commercializing the hell out of it so you end up with half the new, souless, expensive and plastic bowl-ground filled with day trip fans from random parts of the world. Either way, Limbs as a concept would slowly disappear from the experience of Evertonians.

BK does have his faults, but managerial appointments doesnt seem to be one of them.

Wish I could hang around today to see how this develops when the heavyweights of the Usual Suspects Platoon get their eyes on it, it should be fun, but I've got a busy day.
No point in banning The Mirror, I never read it anyway.

True, true.
He's picked exactly the man we needed both times.

I still want him out, to be honest. Without investment (or regular CL) even Martinez's miracles will eventually dry up, and don't think that I have forgotten about the stadium situation - it eats at me every single day.

I'm sure that Kenwright has rec'd some offers to sell the club. However I think there is really some truth in him trying to find the "perfect" owner. For every Man City Shiek there are about 20 absolute clowns who do more harm to a club than not. Mike Ashley and the Venkys are disgustingly rich want them? Or how about some of the "marketing geniuses" who would turn the club into Red Bull FC at Everton so that they can sell more cans of their piss or maybe we could have Vincent Tan and be the Everton Red Dragons? Hell compared to most owners Jacko lovin Al-Fayed was probably one of the better chairman in the prem.

Kenwright is skint and makes mistakes (the crest being one of them but to his credit he hasn't doubled down like the idiot HULL FC owners and is changing it) but he has never forced a manager to sell and doesn't interfere in the day to day operations of a club. Now while that should be the norm, its the exception now. In a perfect world owners like Kenwright and Steve Gibson would be the ones with the money.

Was Dunn on the Ian Ross email list of media friends that the board uses to brief against it's own fans when necessary ?

A truly great article for retarded goldfish to read.
