This will probably start a slanging match but what the heck

Liked this at the end actually

Shows what a sorry state the English game is in when the mere fact a chairman lets his team play in the right colour is now something to be lauded.

I agree with most of the article though. Kenwright may not be the best chairman in the world but I have no doubt that he is an Everton fan

Andy Dunn, WTF is he, another jurno who never got anything right but who has took a break from writing about the established top 4 because we are flavour of the month.

We've got a Philip Green thread here:

And I admit, Kenwright's answers to KEIOC regarding Green appeared evasive (saying "he's my friend" too many times):

There's undoubtedly some shadiness going on...but there is in pretty much every Prem club. Not just football clubs, but most major businesses have their intrigue, shady dealings and little conspiracies.

The thing we football fans have to think about is if it's worth attacking Kenwright personally all the time, creating this negative bitter energy when it very well may not be deserved. We also have to consider the alternatives. I already mentioned the likes of leeches such as Gilletts/Hicks, Glazers, Venkys, Thaksin and Gaydamak. And now we've got Cardiff changing shirt colour, and Hull City being renamed Hull Tigers. Not long ago, we had Wimbledon entirely relocated and renamed.

We're not doing too bad with what we've already got, you know.

Still, these next two transfer windows require backing. If we don't get it, I'll be the first to criticise. But I'll never call Bill Kenwright a lying greedy chancer who'll leave us in the lurch if the price is right. That's just nonsense.

Could have been Knowsley Warriors too

In the manner you have used, the pro Bill 'Ultras' take the 'anti Bill' rhetoric and twist it. These 'personal' attacks are because Bill puts himself up as a spokesperson for the board, not shy of an interview is Bill, or Japanese dentists, or lonely people in Manchester bedsits. You ignore he himself admitted he got to DD with that bloke yet throw in all the usual suspects to create fearmongering.

There is a long list that Bill, as chairman/representative, has been responsible for that have been failings, failures or [Poor language removed] ups. That's when suntan Bob is sent forward to defend his actions.

Bill is an Evertonian. There I've said it. So am I. I would suspect the overwhelming majority that visit these boards are too. But that alone isn't enough qualification to be the perfect chairman of the club. In these days its known as a 'nice to have', but on track record alone in successes v failures.....well, you do the maths, then explain to everyone how you came up with the answer.
