He's a brilliant person and if he beats the threat of reform he will easily become our next PM and sort out our the mess we've endured the last 17 years.

Also being a blue is irrelevant but it's a lovely bonus.

I’m not sure why you think Andy Burnham would make a good PM fella? Because he’s an Evertonian? I would take off the blue tinted spectacles if I were you.
He didn’t exactly do a good job when he was the Health Secretary presiding over the Mid Staffordshire hospital debacle.
Perhaps Google it to see what I’m on about…….Incompetent and negligent were a couple of terms used to describe him, so he would probably fit right in with the current Labour government!

….a bit surprised he’s applying, be interesting if he gets to stand or if Starmer blocks it.

I doubt he’ll ever be ‘out of work’ but he’s standing down as a Mayor, might not get selected by his Party or lose the by-election if he is. Anticipating a collapse in May council elections, there might be a coup to crown him if he is on backbenches, but a lot of things will have to fall into place for that to happen.

I hope it does, he’s not just a talker, he does tend to make things happen and deliver.

He's delivered what he's spoken about compared to our metro mayor.

It also ushers in Farage as the next Prime Minister which is I suppose the natural step following Boris Johnson and Liz Truss in our journey to shooting ourselves in the head because Brexit wasn't bad enough!
