Every players needs to do a bit in the premier league, especially in midfield or you will get torn a new one pretty quickly.

City, Wolves, Chelsea did with Jorginho. Think the RS have gone down that route by getting Thiago to break down stubborn defences to prove something more than just hoofing it to the front 3.


It's not his fault he's that type of player and we don't play him that way sometimes then expect him to be ripping up trees in a midfield of Doucoure and Siggurdson.

Peak Gomes is/was the player in the squad most suited for the role. This current version however is devoid of any intention to be progressive with his passing and doesn’t have the necessary attributes to provide any defensive protection.

If we got a £1 bid for him in Jan I would give them 99p change and still be ashamed we got that much. He is a truly, awful, slow, waste of space. Doucoure should get his wages as he was doing the job of both of them

He was the weak link in those first few weeks for me. The one obvious flaw in the system.

I can expect them to be able to run a bit or show for a pass!

I was absolutely pining for him to come back after his loan but in the late/post Moyes era there’s only one centre mid I wouldn’t have over him and that’s Cleverley (at a stretch)

Questions of his effort, questions of his commitment etc that shouldn't sit right with any professional footballer and I think he came to us to get away from that.

So if he is struggling mentally, then as a club I'd hope we deal with that issue and help him, assist with whatever help he may need.

There's no proof that's the case of course and we are only guessing, but his performances haven't been anywhere up to an acceptable level so it leaves his performances wide open to criticism.

City do it with who? Fernandinho was good without the ball and Rodri isn't nearly as bad as Andre plus switching to Rodri has made their team well worse.

RS don't yet. We will see if they do with Thiago but somehow I doubt it.

It isn't common but Jorginho is a top level passer and always makes himself an option. That isn't Andre.
