I think hes not applying himself as well as he was as hes been told Everton dont have much money and won't be able to afford him if he keeps playing so well. We will get him for 20million great British pounds and then he will play like the player we had at the start of the season. What a dreamboat.

No surprises that we win and play really well without him in the side. He was turning over possession far too often and this has been the most assured everton performance in months. I think he needs to be swerved in the summer and let someone else sign him as he doesn't seem suited to what we need in this league

His form has dropped but so had rest of team, id definately buy him get a full pre season will be great next season

Its really a tricky one whether we go for him or not.

Certainly hasnt been close to the levels he initially showed and has done another jelavic, schneiderlin, walcott type of drop in form.

£15mil if we get him on lowish wages otherwise i wouldnt bother...

I think for me the thing that says sign him more than not even given his inconsistent form is the fact that when he is on, he genuinely is a top talent, he's better than your average mid table player. So if you can get that consistency out of him and after a proper pre season/year in the league there's no reason he couldn't find consistency, I think it's a gamble worth taking.

I think at his best hes great...but his best seems to have been in half a dozen games.

Its bizarre how hes dropped off performance wise and to earn a move id like to see more from him.

We do lack the midfield balance and physical presence next to him...

Cant see many others bidding for him...id hope £15-18mil.

This is always the excuse. Don’t get me wrong, I’m on team Gomes. Having said that, he is an awful tackler and has some games where every ball he plays is off. That has nothing to do with the team. He is just a tad inconsistent.

When he is on, he is great. He doesn’t usually play the killer pass, but he gets the ball rolling and his deliveries are very good. His balance is on another level ane he will carry the ball all day. He is one hell of a midfield general. I don’t see him as a playmaker.

I agree with what you say there, but my point about him needing a like minded player alongside to share the burden stands. As it is, the opposition know if you target Gomes, you stop Everton. We need more creativity across the midfield.
