Thought he was pretty boss today. Good passer, took a popshot or two when we needed it. Combative.

Couple times his interceptions had a deft touch which fell to the opposition but he'll quickly learn, this lad is a baller.

Poor man's Pirlo. He has an advanced understanding of passing angles. His ability to manipulate the ball ever so slightly so he can make a clean pass instead of just unloading it in the direction of an open teammate is a rare thing these days.

MOTM for me event though there's a few other strong candidates. His first game for ages and he looked levels above the opposition players around him with his quick feet and vision. People didn't notice it much because we didn't score but we absolutely dominated that midfield battle, especially in the 2nd half. Great to see a no.8 playing such flowing football in the centre again, not seen much of that since Arteta left.

He reminded me a bit of Artetas debut v Southampton in 05.

Off the pace at times but you can see the ability is there.
