Fantastic debut. Especially considering his lack of fitness & coming back from a hamstring tear.

Very neat, tidy, but above all else he looks for a forward/ link pass which is what we’ve needed since losing Arteta.

I thought he was great today..I like the way the passes were in front of people which makes all the difference in driving you forward

There were certain moments when he ran forward in to space. Not exactly a gut busting run like Barkley, Gerrard, Yaya. More of an Arteta, committing players before playing his pass. It doesn't look that fantastic at the time but it allows the other players that extra yard or space.

Funny thing is it looks so simple but after X amount of years with Gueye, McCarthy, Davies, Mo, Schniederlinn, Heitinga, Neville, Carsley etc it obviously ain't.

Looks promising.

Never seen him play before and the YouTube video’s I seen were poor. Finally someone who is actually better than his YouTube vid. Very confident and assured and can only improve with time.

Saw a lot of him over here,if he's only 90% of the player he was before the move to Barcelona he'll become a crowd favourite.
