That’s fine - Barry was a brilliant player for many years.

Was definitely nervous first half, but straight away in the second looked like he wanted to stamp his authority on the midfield and looked much better.

He looks like he could be a serious baller in full flow. He was at Valencia, hopefully it happens for him here.

I thought he was great today..I like the way the passes were in front of people which makes all the difference in driving you forward

MOTM for me event though there's a few other strong candidates. His first game for ages and he looked levels above the opposition players around him with his quick feet and vision. People didn't notice it much because we didn't score but we absolutely dominated that midfield battle, especially in the 2nd half. Great to see a no.8 playing such flowing football in the centre again, not seen much of that since Arteta left.

For me he looked like he has the ability to be a great addition today, was not match sharp though. Occasional touches were heavy and lost control of his legs on occasions. A few more games and I hope we have a player of real quality on our hands

But don't expect Gomes be a midfield maestro just because he's from Barca i watched him a lot in La Liga he's very basic on the ball

I like u bourney already ,but your view on gomes and basic doesny sit well with me

Adept with either foot so could always keep the ball moving without having to take unnecessary touches to get it onto his favoured foot
