was no was than jorginhos etc against us earlier on in the season who again never got "banned" after it because he plays for the top club

....yep, we obviously watch the Blues week in week out so players will have off days. It happens. Gomes is a fine player and will be a fine acquisition if we can sign him.

Arteta in his pomp had a little more than 7 months in the league though.

And if the fee being quoted is accurate - £25m to £30m - who on earth are we going to get better for that money?

Too slow for the premier League, other then that he is a decent player.
