American Food

Just shows you what you can learn from others, was out last night with a group of guys from work to an American themed bar in Glasgow called Bucks bar http://bucksbar.co.uk/, a place I wouldn't normally go to. I had a buttermilk chicken burger which was basically a massive chicken breast southern fried coating which you could then choose from a selection of sauces. I'm a big eater and this thing was feckin massive, I had it with salt and chilli fries and the whole thing was delicious.
We live and learn and I have now been introduced to somewhere I'll enjoy taking my missus and the family to in the future.
To anyone living up here or thinking of visiting I would recommend this place for the grub, music and atmosphere.

I’m just picturing a sad caged chicken followed by hardening arteries

Catfish, with an arsenal of interesting sauces on the table, BBQs of various heats, hot sauce. Good stuff.

Speaking of hot:

Nashville hot chicken is no joke. It's hot but not too bad when you start, but eating one is like facing Rocky in a boxing ring. Each round is tougher than the last... it just keeps punching back. Really good, but even with mac and cheese and slaw to help cool off, still had to bring some back for a later snack.

Thanks for posting! My Dad went to bootcamp there. He used to make SOS for us. :)
