American Food

very best and worst of American cuisine

Full American, if you ask around here.

American cuisine...isn't that some kind of oxymoron? A food court does not constitute actual food.

And as for Arby's or Wendy's etc those places are a one way ticket to heart disease. I remember reading the family breakfast on the menu; 12 eggs, 16 link sausages, 24 slices of streaky bacon, biscuits (?), hashbrowns, 2 sliced pans and a gallon of coffee and juice. Great value but you'd need life assurance with it.

Also any food served in a bucket should be reserved for animals on a farm.

I did enjoy lots of nice grub in New Orleans, Savannah and Baltimore. Beans, rice, meatloaf bison, crab claws.

But for the most part it's essentially burgers and pizza right? Fat Sam would love it.

As a Seattlite I had no idea Teriyaki was considered a Seattle thing. Had some spicy pork teriyaki for lunch yesterday and Googled it. Had no idea. Thought everyone would have loads of teriyaki fast casual (order like fast food...server brings it to the table) spots to choose from in any big American city.

Weird that I didn't notice the lack of them in my 12 years in the Bay Area.

Read an article that said we had 83 different restaurants in Seattle with Teriyaki in the name. I can't imagine what that number would look like if the burbs were included.

Yes I know it's a Japanese thing, but they mainly do fish in theirs. Mostly chicken, beef, and pork here...and of course salmon for our fish version.
