Very good today. Concentrated on doing the basics well and didn't make any mistakes. Great to see.

….I think this lad is on a journey to the very top and it’s a testament to his judgement that he chose Everton as a step along the way.

I heard one interview where he said he lets his heart choose & that’s why he’s here. I doubt he’ll ever regret the choice, he just seems to be enjoying himself.

…..mmmm, I like this lad an awful lot. He’s a very special young man and could be a very special footballer.

The big boys will have noticed, I have absolutely no doubt about that.

There is good and bad with that though. The bad is that we might struggle to hold to him for any great length of time however the good is that I reckon he is the sort that could trigger a bit of an auction with a large fee involved.

Said the same a couple of weeks ago Eggs, this boy will not be here long term, but, we will make a lot of money when he goes and it will be great to watch him for the few years we have him. As you say, he will, all things being equal, go right to the top.

There was a 30 min period in the second half were he ran the game.

Very few players are capable of it.

That period was the best I’ve seen from him.

I just think he's going to be very very good. He's already a good player but I don't believe he's close to reaching his maximum potential yet.

Yes he is ahead of schedule in terms of his game time. You forgot how young is he because he as the aura of a more experienced player

I try not to go overboard either way about players, but it’s difficult not to get excited about this lad. He’s a brilliant talent, with the ability to reach the very top.
