If no loan, clearly will not get near first team judging from Sam's comments.
I'd be reluctant to send him to another premierleague team. The last thing we need is to maybe make those teams below us stronger and you know our luck - he'd sign for Newcastle and suddenly look like KDB.

Imagine signing a Europa league finalist captain for 25 million, with loads of goals and assists, never playing him or even giving him a chance in a team lacking in both goals and assists. Then cry he has no confidence 5 months later

Another example of how bad the club has got.
I'm a big Davy fan but having a dig at the club is just as harsh as a dig at the player as he's not forced his way in to a very bad side either. It just hasn't worked out so far. Means nothing though as generally nothing has worked out for us this season. We are woeful all over the pitch but we do have some quality players in the squad and a lot of good youth in there too.

The lad clearly isn't goin anywhere. He is content to play the long game because he's young, has a fat contract and most importantly, he knows Allardyce probably won't be here long.

He's not been given a chance in his proper position at all and where are all these "he's crap in training" shouts coming from? Based on what, what Allardyce said the other week? Allardyce thinks Cuco Martina is a decent defender and that Schneiderlin is our best CM for Christ's sake. Or because Unsworth didn't use him? Unsworth was well out of his depth and only used the same players who got us in the mess to begin with, which resulted in that awful run under him.

Hopefully next season is a completely new start for him and the club as a whole. Anyone who thinks he's utterly crap is either lazy and going with the narrative or genuinely has no clue about what they're watching.
