We should be 8th-10th. We should be getting 50 points. We have a clear and worrying lack of balance and that's why we simply can't challenge at the top end. But suggesting we are relegation fodder is nonsense. There's a vast difference between not being good enough to compete for 6th and being relegated.

I've never been more disgusted with the tactical set up of an everton team in all my life. Constant changing of selection. Tonnes of HT subs. Obsession with the archaic 4231. Negativity in possssion. Onus on graft over quality. Constant questioning of players with no responsibility taken by any manager for performances. It's disgusting how we'v been coached by 3 different people. All with huge flaws. It's depressing.

We'd need to win 7 games from 14 remaining to get anywhere near this, absolutely no chance as you say.

Nah we're gonna come well short as you say. I have us coming in on 43-45 points roughly. Not good enough but I'd take 43 if offered right now. Just get the points and write this season off.

2016/2017: 35 points (after 24th match, 18th placed team had 20 points)
2015/2016: 38 points (21 points)
2014/2015: 36 points (20)
2013/2014: 34 points (22)
2012/2013: 37 points (20)

Southampton currently on 22

Average 36 points - so we'd need basically three more wins from our 14 to get this. Not sure any team has had 28 points after 24 and got relegated, can't be arsed to check.

Small point here: 2015/2016 Martinez side had 32 points after 24 and 2014/15 had 27 after 24 games (28 after 26 games!!). We've been here before, a fair bit, in three of the last four years.

I think we have just enough match turner's to limp home but we have absolutely no pattern of play. We are relying on individual moments from the likes of Niasse, Rooney et al
