ALLARDYCE - Any positives

Hard to see positives, but from what I read he knows how to work a defense and that is arguable our biggest problem that needs to be fixed! Next is improving the attacking support to help Niasse score more goals with our current mess of midfielders and forwards, and signing some players in January to plug the holes in our leaky defense and improve our attack...Olivier Giroud or Danny Welbeck comes to mind. I know Robin van Persie is old at 34 but he knows how to score goals. Hopefully I won't get flamed for naming these players.

Far far from my first choice. But he's a big character who will stamp his authority on the team and the players, if they don't try they won't be in. Plus he can organise a defense and a pressing team. I do agree his football style is limited and I don't want him for the long term but the positive is he's an experienced man who could stabalise us, it won't be pretty but who cares because with Unsy we were plummeting.

He's better than what we have or can seemingly attract!

He absolutely loves a tricky attacking midfielder and knows how to use them.

The Big Sam hoofball rep is unfair. It's more of a style where you very quickly get the ball to players who can do damage in the correct area of the pitch. Instead of passing it sideways between centre halfs who then play back to the keeper before repeating why not look to play one or two passes that will get it into Sig's feet in the opposition third? Does anyone honestly think watching limited defenders playing possession football is better than watching an attacking player actually attack?

He might actually look arsed from time to time.

Despite everybody deciding he's gonna put a rocket up everyone there's not many managers who are better at judging when a player needs a kick, quiet word or arm around the shoulder.

The accusation that his ambition is for nothing more than a safe mid table finish is nonsense. He has bemoaned the lack of ambition from many of the clubs he's worked at and would love a crack at a job where the expectations are to ruffle the feathers of the Sky favourites.
