I think the 18 month contract is the biggest positive. I can imagine when they offered him the job until the end of the season, his accountant would have advised against it as he probably would have paid a shedload of tax, making it financially unattractive. I genuinely hope, we have said, OK still till the end of the season, but we'll give you 18 months wedge. Now get your massive melon-like head down to Finch farm and sort those spineless gets out before the derby!

I don't think he'll tolerate the team going to Analfield and lying down and giving up as in recent years.

For that fixture, he's the kind of Manager the RS hate, because he will understand how they operate, and will not let them run riot as has previously happened. I think he'll put a lot of fight and spine in the team.
