Keane was highly rated and linked with Utd whilst we were chucking money around like a drunken sailor under Steve Walsh.
Longstaff will be off for around £5-10 million if he doesn't sign a new deal which I now suspect he will.

If he had flu, he should be nowhere near the squad. You know, this squad that apparently has a major injury crisis and is barebones. What if he spread it to 7/8 other players who then have it worse than him, or all can't last 75mins. Then what do we do?
We are also in a global pandemic due to a virus, as if they would be taking any chances.
Pretty clever if you ask me, international break, stop players leaving, reducing carbon emissions and COVID cases.all in one fell swoop.

Don't think he had a serious case of flu, or else he can't be running and pressing as much as he did. Maybe it's a minor allergy that he just recovered from (I'll give Benitez benefit of the doubt).
And he was running so much, he has be to replaced, just to tighten things up and not to risk injuring Allan - as he is important for us.
But it didn't work out because Holgate's performance was terrible. It says more about our bench quality actually, with the other DM is Gbamin (who can be equally as bad).

He lied about taking Gordon off for Rondon because Gordon doesn’t have the fitness to play 90 mins.

To be fair, the drop off in our last game in the last 20 mins for Gordon was quite stark. He's an explosive player and he doesn't have the stamina to play like that for 90 mins, I read him talking about it himself in the last week or so. Something about trying to build stamina rather than power

Why are people complaining about his handling of Gordon when he’s playing him more than any other manager we’ve had? He’s probably in the best form he ever had been and there’s people moaning that he got 60 mins instead of 90.
As for Allan he’s our second best midfielder. When we buy some better players for that to change then his form is worth a discussion but frankly he could hobble out on one leg and still be more useful than Davies.
