I don't think he is fit doesn't look as mobile as he did in the first four games.

The problem with the midfield is we still have 1 out of the 3 (Gomes/Gylfi) who offer nothing defensively so when James also doesn't offer anything defensively out wide then one of our only 2 midfielders who can tackle have to cover the Right hand side.

With Richarlison covering Digne and Coleman being on top form we have learnt to cope with that somewhat but having Iwobi and a CB needing to play at RB it was never going to work against a pressing team who play two up top.

Its a position that needs upgrading on in the summer no doubt in my mind.

Gomes, Gylfi, Pickford, Iwobi, Bernard all tosh who contributed in us finishing 12th last season.

Is it fickle to praise someone when they’re good and Criticise them when they’re bad? It’s just telling the truth surely?

If he had effective wide players, full backs who knew their position, any sort of pace behind him, and even a league 1 standard midfielder next to him he wouldn’t have had to go running about all over the park having his pace exposed. He was trying to do everything, box to box, play making, tackling, and in the end he got erratic.

Give me that any day though over Sigurdsson’s disappearing act and Doucoure’s aimless running. In a proper performing team with Coleman at Rb, Gomes and Doucoure playing properly, and Richarlison working back as he does then he can sit in front of the back 4 and screen just like he did v Spurs.

He is the least of our problems by a long way.
