The player knows Carlo and how he likes to play, and he fills the position of greatest need for the club. Yes, he is older but some experience and leadership is needed. Only issue for me is the price tag. Anything over 30m is likely too much.

Still, this largely falls under the category of when you bring in a Carlo you back him. If Allan is who he wants, go get him.

That’s quite bad to be honest.

Aye but literally every signing outside of the CL elite players we cant attract could be that.

Suarez banged goals in for fun in the Dutch farmer league as did Alfonso Alves - yet one proved a success in England and the other a flop.

Danny Ings - £20 million can get you either 15-20 goal a season forward or an injury prone clogger.

Every signing for clubs like us poses that risk - sadly we've had more Tosun's than Suarez's in recent years.

He hasn't scored a single goal since the restart, we should avoid.

Brazil national team play 433 maybe thats why he doesnt get much international game?
Yes, and is not clear what he can do, because the brazilian DMs in the last decades are more defensive, as Dunga, Mauro Silva, Felipe Melo, Casemiro, Fernandinho or Fabinho. And the other midfielders need to be more creative or score goals, like Paulinho, Coutinho, Arthur and Bruno Guimaraes. When the nt play 4-2-3-1 he can be an option. But Arthur or Bruno Guimaraes will be ahead of him. He is more suited to european football that have more sophisticated tactics.

That's a whole lot of average midfielders when you think back to amazing Brazilian teams, they're definitely having a lull in producing in talent atm... By their standards, can't wait for them to be back though.

With the worries about his age, if he does start losing his legs a bit, I think he’s the type of player that could be able to transition to more of a holding mid. At the moment he has the ability to carry the ball well and the engine on him to pop up all over the pitch but if that goes he’s still very good defensively and a good enough passer of the ball that he can still be a quality player even when he starts slowing down.
