One of Ireland's most capped players and that alone delivers my total respect. Nagging feeling though that he could have been our game changer.

He has bags of talent. Unfortunately, as often happens in football, and life in general, the ones with the natural talent think they don't need to do much more than show up. Basically, over the course of his career, he's been lazy.

Christ, if he was significantly worse than McGeady then I'm glad I never saw him.
his kit would not fit him - in the days of tight shorts too - it was only laughable to watch him he was that bad!
 
How can you have that much ball control and be so average. What was missing? Vision, intelligence, effort. Really don't get it. There are two boys at my lads club who can dribble for fun for no reason and can't pick a pass at the right time who everyone thinks are great. Surely when you get to 18 or whatever you realise that's not the way to play.
