Fair point, he has definite talent but just couldn't translate it to the big league

I must be honest that it worried me a bit when I did some digging about him in Celtic circles and found he'd also frustrated there too, even though his talent wasn't questioned

I think DCL can get better and develop further, whereas Geades is where he is and isn't going to develop any further, so it makes sense to give the kid more chances over him

Anyway, you were complaining that not enough kids were playing earlier the season, crusading against it almost, now you're all for bringing back 31 year old Aiden McGeady at the expense of a 20 year old DCL. Bit of a sharp 180 from you isn't it?

How are they comparable?

We bought McGeady when he was in his late twenties and he clearly wasn't quite up to this standard. He's doing well at Preston now - good for him.

Calvert-Lewin is 20 years old and may (or may not) progress hugely in the next few years.
