PNE operate a pretty rigid salary cap for their squad and he'd have to take a fair hit on his wages if he joined them permanently and, although he's done well there, looking good in the Championship isn't likely to open up many doors for him.

Preston was last chance saloon for him. The right thing to do would be take a pay cut and sign ... but !!!!!!

He got a whole season mate and turned in 1 or 2 decent performances. That's it ! No use !

I think so. Although his focus must be questioned as well.

He half grew up in Donegal, there's an anecdote of his cousin abstaining from booze the week before a Donegal GAA game. Allegedly Geeds had a Blues game on the same future date but he had the vodka and orange. Could be nonsense but I suspect it's not.
