Even Moyes wouldn't have stumped that low mikey, to be fair to the ginger nugget he could pick a player. Just couldn't manage them to well

Moyes signed Naismith like, as well as a few others who weren't exactly great

Geades was the sort of player we were signing at the time, regardless of manager

I'm hardly a Bobby defender, but I'm not chalking this one against him

It's not an Alcaraz or Niasse situation

I'm hardly a Bobby fan, but I'm not counting this one against him

Naismith was a typical Moyes signing, someone who would follow orders and put a 100% shift in regardless of his lack of talent. Moyes did pick some clangers like Klodrup, Van Der Meyde etc

McGeady was an over rated mess, like cleverly he was a typical bobby purchase. Hyped up beyond belief about his natural ability on the ball and his technical gift. He wanted him at Wigan, unfortunately we had to bite the bullet if a good £3m of our money down the drain.

I'll respectfully disagree Michael and lay this at bobbys feet.

Anyway, can't wait till hes off the payroll

All I have read is that he will be loaned out again to Preston, no mention of a transfer, anyone know different.

I think any of Martinez bad buys will be covered by the profit on Lukaku, that's not to defend Martinez but just to put things into perspective. I think Moyes was one of the very best, Cahill, Arteta, Jags, Baines and Coleman were players who could all have been CL standard in their pomp and cost us under £15m.

You have done it now
Why oh why mention Alcatraz.
That night in Russia has only recently been erased from my memory.
He was totally and utterly rank

A little fatty who can't cross, shoot or pass a ball and gets knackered after 10 minutes? Why would we need one of them?

He could definitely shoot like, he scored some good goals

And we'd been signing players like that on the cheap since the dying days of Walter

Had Rangers not died we probably wouldn't have even got Jelavic, and even then we paid for him in instalments

Fellaini was our record signing at 15 Million up until the ridiculous inflation of fees due to the TV money

Had Moyes still been manager, I'm willing to bet that he would have gone for Geades, because he was available and affordable. He would have lost temper with him quickly like, but he would have certainly signed him
