I'm quite surprised at how much Senegal seem to be getting slated for what happened last night. Morocco have done nothing but cheat in various forms from the first game all the way up to the final, they got what they deserved imo.

Taking the players off was a master stroke from Senegal. Put the ref and his dodgy decisions in the spotlight and clearly scrambled the penalty takers head. The dodgy reffing would have been glossed over if the game had carried on as normal.

Well their best player criticized it, so I don't think it's all that surprising.
Agree with this, but when they get the title stripped next week (and probably awarded to Donald Trump), they may regret it.
But it was important to highlight the obvious corruption and part of me wishes Davey boy will whip our lot off the pitch next time we get an absolute howler.

Seems like that was the deal cooked up whilst off the pitch imo. Team international ban and forfeiture of the game, or get your team back out there and take it for the team.

We can talk about the precedent, rules, each federations reputations or response to the chaos but I think thats all avoiding the thesis.
Senegal got a goal disallowed on sketchy grounds, then get a very questionable penalty ruling against them in extra time.
Ultimately though Morocco had the chance to shut up all this noise by making the pen. I mean if there is any sympathies for Morocco its only based on the result, literally nothing else. Everything that was controversial fell in their favor besides a 20 minute reprieve.
The team with the grounds to complain also miraculously won the game. I frankly would understand the noise and frustration of all this more if Diaz scored the pen and Morocco won.
