Think all of it depends if we as a club can convince him to stay, the fee is immaterial really. If he decides he wants to go...you cant really keep him. I sincerely hope Silva can persuade him to stay as he will deffo be one who will get us the biggest return in a few years..and while he's here will get our asses off seats.
He has 3yrs left on his deal. We aren’t under pressure to sell. If he’s not happy send him to a low level prem team for the season abs let his price rise.

Hate to see this 'if he wants out then we have little choice' you're probably right but would like to see an attitude change from the club and some professionalism from any player in the situation. They signed the contract, we pay them vast amounts of money and yet it feels like the players have the club over a barrel everytime.

Hope he stays

He can rot in the reserves for at least a year if we want - it would be cutting off our nose to spite our face, though.

Best we keep him in the squad and make him prove he is worth triple his value before selling. By that point he might change his mind anyway if he gets on in the new setup.

He's had a taste of playing in a very young exciting team playing attacking football, and he likes it. After Allardyce who wouldn't?

Hopefully Marcel/Marco can emulate that here and Lookman can be a big part of it. He has to want to give it a chance though.

£12m is absolutely hilarious. Nobody should even be remotely worried about this, they simply won't offer enough for us to even consider it for a moment.

He's only 20 mate.

We paid a record fee to bring him in in January from a league one club.

He played a few games in the run in to that season - he was never going to be a regular and if anything, we put him in to soon. Koeman was very clear at the time he was one for the future.

Last season was his first season really, the whole season was a nightmare - Allardyce mainly for Lookman but he bailed after a few months on loan.

He's been publicly backed by Everton's new regime and should be chomping at the bit this season at Everton, but I get the feeling he isn't and wants off.

So is Tom Davies and he played all season.

Anyway, let's hope he is keen.

He's proved himself capable in the Bundesliga, so let's hope Silva is the man manager that people love playing for that we've heard about, and he stays.

If anything, he will have benefitted from the move to Germany in so much as he wasn't tainted by the Allardyce/Koeman horror show last year.

Bring him.back, give him some game time and let him try to impress. If not, his stock will still be high and we can sell him on or loan him out. If he does well it's all good and he will be happier here.

Don't buy this 'he shouldn't expect to be playing'. He should expect to be playing at 20 and he should be looking to make himself a regular, if he didn't think that would happen last season, he is right to be unsettled and looking at his options.

It'll be a huge shame if he goes

I genuinely think he's going to be a great player and I'd like him to do it with us

Still, if he does want out then we'll just have to kick on without him

There's no indication he wants out or that we're willing to let him go, though.

We've turned down a bid and Brands has publicly said he sees him as a key player for the future.

He's been thrown right back into pre-season with the rest.

High teens, snap their hand off.His game is far more suited to continental football than it is the Prem. And if Silva is looking for wide players to press,he'll struggle.
