Staying optimistic. You have to think Silva sees him as one of the only true attacking threats in the squad. More than enough time on the wings for Richarlison, Walcott, and Ademola.
Leipzig is bigger than Liverpool, and it's a young university city.It really is a simple as that, four words - " I want to stay ".
What baffles me, is the " home sick " thing ( if true ).
Surely he'd be more homesick in a small city that used to be part of East Germany, up until quite recently ?.
It's not exactly Munich or Hamburg is it.

That would be great front 3 away from homeStaying optimistic. You have to think Silva sees him as one of the only true attacking threats in the squad. More than enough time on the wings for Richarlison, Walcott, and Ademola.
What choice do we have if he doesn't want to be here?

Yeah I hope in some games we see Tosun dropped for tactical reasons and a Lacey front three of Lookman Richarlison Walcott.

Agree with this. Hiwever I have a sneakyI think long term Richarlinson plays down the middle. He probably needs to work on his finishing a little first.
As for Lookman in fairness it looks like Brands and Silva tried to roll out the red carpet for him which he hasn't responded too. So far in his career I think everything he has done he has been fully justified. He was right to be frustrated at his treatment under Allardyce. I think he might live to regret his actions over the last month or so though. I appreciate he had a great time at Leipzip but there was clearly a good opportunity at Everton and things had changed quite radically in that time. What he was given at Leipzig he'd likely get at Everton too, if he's willing to get on board.
Not sure how this plays out but no easy resolution. Leipzig and Rangnick negotiate very well. They do not pay big fees for players. Lookman has enormous potential but in a league full of young talented players he's just another one and I can see why they don't want to go to 20 million.
However the flip is Brands is new to the job, seems a very firm negotiator and is looking to send a message out Everton are not a soft touch. The value we have for him is much higher and we know, if Silva gets him right like Leipzig did, he chips in with 10-12 goals (when you look at his goals per minute last season there's a great chance of this) we could probably sell him for up to 50 million next summer. We are losing a lot of players at a loss and we probably need to maximise profit on this deal. I'm not sure who blinks first, but Brands is right to stand his ground as he has 3 years on his deal left.
It's a difficult situation and I hope the penny drops a bit for Lookman. I'd fully back Brands if he demanded say 25 million and refused to sell him for less, even risking him sitting in the reserves. He will not sulk for long as it will be clear to him his career goes down the pan if he does. It will require tricky man management from Silva but he seems good at that. It will also come across as strong from Everton.
I think he will do well if he stays or if he goes. It will be nice to keep him, but it's important to the other young players we are not seen to be treating him differently.
I agree wuth tgus. But I alsi think we still have an interest in Lizano. If we do manage to bring him in then I think we'll be preoared to drop our value on LoikmanI think long term Richarlinson plays down the middle. He probably needs to work on his finishing a little first.

The speed seems to have increased over recent days. I don't think Lozano could be ruled out, but the price might have to be right.
Lozano plays mostly from the left, like Richarlison - can't imagine we spend huge money on both of them
If Lookman goes, we'll need someone who can play from both wings, is young and won't necessarily be an automatic choice ahead of Walcott and Richarlison
