Because I believe if he has any grievances about how he was treated last year by Everton, they are legitimate. He should have played more.

Agree, but he should also be smart enough to see that he was working under dinosaurs here and will get much more of a chance under this manager.

That's my opinion too, for all we know though he might have fallen in love with his surroundings out in Germany, made some friends at Leipzig and is desperate to go back. I don't want to be too hard on him because his situation is largely a problem of Everton's own making, although his behaviour this preseason has hardly been exemplary, he or his agent have clearly had conversations with Rangnick behind Everton's backs.

There is a player in there but he needs to take whatever chances come his way more. A half decent showing in a derby match (that we lost) and a good showing against the 7th best team in Cyprus is hardly beating down the first team door. Of course it was him who asked to be loaned out too.

He asked to be loaned to leipzig instead of Derby. If he knew he would get playing time here he wouldnt have needed to be loaned out
