There does appear to be more to this situation than meets the eye, I think Lookman would make the match day squad. With Silva picking a forward looking team I would have thought there was a spot on the bench for Lookman, I wouldn't like to be a fullback chasing Wallcott for 70 minutes and then have Lookman coming on to torment me.
Does he think he has enough cover on the wings and feels the money may be more important to cover another position.
