2025/26 Adam Aznou

🤣 🤣 🤣

No.

He has never had any standing at this club as a player; his biggest support came from the know-nothing media who pestered Everton manager after Everton manager for news on why he wasn't being played. That pathetic re-writing of history will not go unchallenged.

Let's just stick to a player like Aznou who's had no time on the pitch to prove he can be a player for us, shall we?
If you type in Nathan Patterson 2022/2023 season on Google you'll find I'm right about it.

To be fair if Heath is looking to be even anywhere close to being close to the first team here then he would really need to be showing himself to be far and away the best player in league 2 while he’s out on loan. I’m not aware that he’s doing that.
He's been good in a pretty mediocre side playing out of position as a left wing back. He has qualities like being able to go by players and he's quick and well balanced. Whether he's premier league quality is debatable but he'll have a good career nonetheless somewhere in the pyramid

Yes I’ve seen plenty of him. My point is that if we’re suggesting he should be playing for our first team right now then I would expect him to be showing that he is far too good for league 2, not just ‘good in a pretty mediocre side’ but putting in the sort of performances that make people say what on earth is he doing at that level. To bring it back on topic, if we loan aznou out to league 2 and he doesn’t look like the best player in the league by a fairly wide margin then I’ll be pretty confident that he shouldn’t have been playing for us either.

I hear what you're saying but he's playing out of position as a wing back so I'm not sure what he can do to be a wow factor player with those constraints. I agree he's probably not going to be a Premier League player but I'm not ruling it out either as he has the athleticism which takes you far in the modern game. I expect he'll maybe get to Championship level though which is good going for any player making their way in the game who haven't broken through in their teens

To some extent, you’d think if his manager thought he could rip it up playing in his more natural position then he’d set the team up to do it but again my point wasn’t to denigrate him or debate what level he’ll be playing at in 5 years. It was just to say that suggesting he should have been playing for our first team already seems to be a massive stretch based on the level he’s actually ended up at and the performances he’s putting in at that level. Like with aznou, I don’t really buy that it’s just Moyes not wanting to play a young lad, it seems much more likely that they’ve just misjudged how far along he is in his development.

Not sure anyone is advocating Heath should be playing in our first team? On the contrary lots of fans were shocked he'd got a new 3 year deal

I think we need to reserge judgement on Aznou until next season.

Dibling now needs regular minutes.

Young English players will be watching Dibling and Armstrong and talking to them. We need to get both flying high and then others will want to join.

Eyes are on us...

Cant see 18-20 year olds joining due to Moyes having Grealish. That seems illogical to me...Dibling & Armstrong though, yes.

Mate, nothing is worse than Koeman himself or his transfer windows

Championship surely.
Yeah the Germany comment was a bit tongue in cheek. You're not wrong on Koeman
