2025/26 Adam Aznou

Well, we have PL level left-back fit and available? Why would he get minutes.
It would be nice to give him a run when we have a game that we are in front and relatively comfortable in so he gets a bit of experience so that we have a player to come in at LB should our 1st choice get pick up an injury.

Yeh but that wasn’t the game. We were winning but they had like 100% of the ball and he’d have been targeted instantly. If he came on and got shredded and they scored people would go mental.

The only game that could maybe have been possible is Forest at home. Otherwise we have never really been comfortably ahead

Another way to look at it is that we were desperate enough that Patto got to start the game the other night and Aznou still sat on the bench for the night getting no minutes.
Grealish is, hopefully fit to start
Armstrong is back
Rohl, Dibling, Patto may move down the pecking order - as will Anzou
The other day @ 86mins was as near as he will ever get

That's because we had no fit RB and he had to play.

Just throwing Aznou in against Hutchison and dropping Myko for no reason would be terrible management.

Just because people on here want something doesn't mean it should happen.

Spot on. Whilst I get the questions (perhaps frustration) that we have bought a RB, and he isn't playing, we need to look at transfers differently.

The club has and will to continue to buy players who fit straight into or around the XI, whilst also buying players who will be here for development.

We may question why we didn't go straight in for a first choice RB, which yes we probably need, but Moyes and co. are perhaps looking long-term.

It's allowed JOB to play games alongside our other CBs, we have Patterson as cover and Aznou can develop, knowing he needs to bulk up.

At the end of the day...We're in a decent league position up to now and well positioned to kick on going forward.

The defence this season has overall performed well so why jeopardize the solid base we've got, just to needlessly throw Aznou in against the likes of Forest who are strong on the wings?

I swear to god Blues hate anything going smoothly.

Can't believe it needs spelling out at times.

The Everton daaaa syndrome is what I call it: they want instant gratification/success, and everything is binary/black and white in their view.

Aznou may end up being a duff, but equally he may not. Right now, I nor pretty much anyone else has seen evidence either way, so trust the club.

Like I said a few days ago, Coleman didn't walk into the XI. Baines didn't walk into the starting XI, and he was an experienced PL player when he came.

loan to ajax makes sense, let the lad play

he’s definitely a talent so could be a real asset in a year or so , as long as he doesnt hate it here
