2025/26 Adam Aznou

Spot on. Whilst I get the questions (perhaps frustration) that we have bought a RB, and he isn't playing, we need to look at transfers differently.

The club has and will to continue to buy players who fit straight into or around the XI, whilst also buying players who will be here for development.

We may question why we didn't go straight in for a first choice RB, which yes we probably need, but Moyes and co. are perhaps looking long-term.

It's allowed JOB to play games alongside our other CBs, we have Patterson as cover and Aznou can develop, knowing he needs to bulk up.

- Aznou is a left back? Have I misunderstood your post?

loan to ajax makes sense, let the lad play

he’s definitely a talent so could be a real asset in a year or so , as long as he doesnt hate it here

Should go to the championship as apparently his issue is physicality.

Unless he adds muscle and size while at Ajax?

i don’t think it’s at all likely he goes the championship, I’m not sure his advisers would be keen on that. lad played for bayern and is a full international, doubt they’d see a move to championship as a good look, even if it would be the best thing for his development

Agreed.

Ligue 1 would be the place ideally - closest in terms if physicality, plus I assume he speaks French, just depends if there's a side that needs him

He played 12 minutes of senior football for Bayern and most of his International minutes have been in 2 games v Lesotho. Real Valladolid got mullered most games he played. There's plenty of lads in lower leagues with this level of experience.
Think he's got a lot to do yet.

i agree, i just imagine both he and his management team have a very high opinion of him and where he should be playing football, and i doubt 5 months at ewood park fits into that vision

Just because he played for Bayern in a pre season tournament doesnt mean anything. Lots of youth players get chances at big clubs and dont even make it pro. Its not a particularly good stick to measure with.

Reading some of these comments, I’m assuming that he will be loaned out to go straight into PSG, Real or Arsenal’s starting eleven. Then Moyes will really have to eat his words.

*Hope he gets a good move which helps his development and aids progress as a top player for us
