2025/26 Adam Aznou

The thing about Aznou is that no one had or has had a chance to see what the coaching staff are 'seeing'. Seeing is believing as far as I'm concerned.

If Moyes let's him out on loan that's not something any fan can understand and it'll rebound on the manager.

I'd also say this: he's kept faith for about 17 games with one of the worst strikers this club has had in its first team. But Barry is still here and getting games and we can ALL see how bad he is but Moyes thinks its ok to keep him in the team.

Moyes looks like what he is: a clueless biff with zero consistency.
I can predict with a certain confidence that when they do defending drills in training and especially one on one drills that Aznou is getting rinsed regularly in these drills and Moyes being all about solidity defensively will not focus on Aznou's attacking qualities because his defensive qualities are falling short of the desired mark

In which case why is even Patterson getting anywhere near the pitch: a player who has consistently proven how chronically bad he is at all aspects of the game and more especially defending?

There's no consistency being applied here. Fans will notice that.

This is not the mid-noughties when Moyes' stock was so high he could buy a player like Kroldrup then hand him one game then get shut of him with everyone scratching their heads but accepting it and moving on. He doesn't have that status anymore and fans are much more questioning of managerial decision making now and will be prepared to scrutinise it a lot more.

Aznou has not been seen by them to any lengthy degree and if Moyes gets shut it'll reflect badly on him. It'll just add to his dinosaur reputation.

Just like Myklenko getting regularly rinsed by Isaac Heath in training then and being told he had no chance with the first team.

Why any player aged 18-20 odds would sign for Moyes is beyond me.

There’s more with Anzou though - Anzou, Barry, Dibbling represent a poor summer window.

Moyes repeatedly said we needed first team ready players this summer. He also mentioned his frustration that a number of targets didn’t fancy joining.

Looks to me like he had money burning a hole in his pocket and just signed what he could get, instead of what we really needed. We’ve now left ourselves with no cover at left back - Mykolenko needed upgraded in the summer, at the very least some serious competition brought in.

Beto needed upgrades in the summer, I’d have been okay with him staying if he was backup but we’ve ended up with someone with no discernible improvement. The two worst strikers in the prem.

Dibbling, barely given him a run and we’ve run N’Diaye into the ground.

He’d have been better just getting some loans in saved our money for a window when we could get people to join who would improve the team.

If I was the Friedkins I’d be asking some really serious questions about his summer spending - particularly if he was coming to me asking for more money for a left back or a centre forward.

Yep a totally bizarre summer spend, worse since Koeman. People talk about Moyes bringing stability and progress but if you’re wasting most of a £100m then you’re actually making the situation worse in the medium term.

...and the idiot CEO doesn't make it easier when he's handing out assurances to profligate managers that he expects only 1/3rd of all signings to work out.

I'd have sacked him on the spot if I were the owners having heard that.

In a nutshell.

Started the summer off pissing his kecks on the US tour about needing players in rather than help scouting them.

The feller obviously thought and thinks he's paid his dues and has won a euro trophy of some description and that he's bullet proof.

That's what his demeanour since the summer has screamed out to me.

Aznou and Dibling are collateral damage in all that.

His arrogance is hopefully misplaced and these yanks get him down the road if we dont finish at least top half.

Yeah that was a terrible shout by Kinnear, no idea what he was doing. Moyes is at his best with little money and at his worst when he’s got lots. Biggest mistake TFG made was putting the guy in charge of transfers.

He wasn't good enough for Leeds and he isn't good enough for Everton.

Looks like a patsy for Moyes to deal with. Completely intimidated by him.

Another one who should hand in a transfer request and gtfo as we’ve managed him appallingly. Same with Dibling.

They won’t get any better if they never play any footy.
