2025/26 Adam Aznou

It shouldn't be baffling.

Mykolenko and Grealish are two names Moyes puts on the team sheet without thinking each week.

He should have at least been handed more sub appearances this season when we're chasing games like today.

Moyes knows best though. He needs to play five more years with the U21 team

and to 'bulk up'.
Its a pet hate of mine but 'This bulk up' stuff is utter rubbish
An utter 'kin dinosaur.
No argument from me
We had Dyche and his O'Brien blind spot, I think Moyes had similar with Anzou

Moyes masterclass...not good enough for U21 :drunk:

I don't know why anyone is surprised. He did the exact same thing to Coleman at first. He played him exclusively as a sub winger as he felt he was a liability defensively, then shunted him off to Blackpool in the championship where he smashed it at right back and forced him to bring him back and play him in his preferred position. Moyes likes his players well seasoned, as well all know, and he particularly loathes youth in defence, for obvious reasons.

He’s only ever going to get cameos behind Grealish playing further forward and that still doesn’t fix the gaping hole at left-back.
I think you're probably right, but it just makes it even more silly that Moyes has refused to even give him 10-15 mins as a winger at ALL this season until now to help him get used to the league and what's required, and therefore work on getting him closer to fixing that gaping hole. What a waste

What are the "obvious reasons" Amigo.

Hope Dibling takes a leaf out of the lads book just in terms of attitude to the game and body language today. Aznou doesn't look strong enough particularly defensively but at least his positivity livened up the crowd and brought about a pen (wouldn't have got it in the PL however).

Yeah i mean i wouldnt stick him at LB in a million years still. He lost the ball a few times yest. Now put him as the last man on the edge of our box losing it.
Didnt mind him losing it trying to attack on the oppositions box. Never had an issue with players who lose the ball trying to attack. I used to love deulofeu. Frustrating but he drove forward when he got the ball.

The 'Aznou can do a job' at LW shouts by fans are correct.

Dont forget: Moyes can see that in training if he wished to look for it...if he ever watches the U21s (something he's said he "doesn't find time enough" to do now).

It's as clear an example of his inability to adapt and reshuffle as you can get.

The feller's a dinosaur and we all know it. He's denied us that option all season because 'he knows best'.
