Winning the (extremely soft) pen is obviously good but the whole action:

The instinct and desire to get to that ball first - he was so far away!

Also the only player apart from Armstrong who I've seen coming into the team looking confident and like they have a point to prove, rather than being scared to make a mistake. I blame that largely on Moyes but it's still impressive to see the kid come out with fire.

Not really. Players that lose the ball continually trying to dribble are a liability wherever they play. He did exactly the same when he played left back v Roma a few times pre season. I’d like to see him play him play more based on the fact he is much better on the ball than Myko and his delivery looks better but he looks extremely naive to me. If you are an attacking left back you can’t afford to turn possession over easily when high up the pitch.

He was bright but still way too raw. Gives the ball away so he’s better left wing than left back.

Agree with this. He won the penalty and looked lively but he was extremely naive and gave the ball away a lot. People are just desperate.
