Aaron Lennon

I won't discount the initial reason for the buy was his influence on our performances last season.

That said, it's become obvious that Del is one of our most important players as the creator from the right this season.

Lennon is then meant to be a squad player who can perform when called upon. Either with a start here and there or from the bench. A squad player that can make an impact.

Del is clearly the better option on most days...a difference maker going forward.

Ultimately this argument was about subbing Lennon vs Kone...and it being painted as a like for like sub.

It wasn't. The stubborn/inflexible manager tried to change the system with 2 up top. Some don't actually watch football...they just fume.

I dunno mate, Kone came on against City when the score was 1-1, but we were under a lot of pressure and we were likely to concede again than not.

Are you implying that Bobby thought that by putting Kone on and changing it to 2 up front we would deal with pressure better since Kone is supposedly good at holding the ball?

I can't agree with that, i think that Lennon would've been the better option, he would've helped our defense since he always tracks back and if we were to break on the counter then Lennon's pace would've been more useful than Arouna's clumsiness.

How dare you come up with a logical response like that when clearly you can't be watching much football, but just like to fume if you dare to question any move the manager makes?

It was indeed 1-1 and we were under the pump. The only person looking like providing any supply to Lukaku comes off and we have an obvious replacement in Lennon pulling out the splinters from his derrière while he finds some way to get his favourite on the park. But no, we'll play two up front to hold up a ball that nobody is going to supply up there now. Brilliant management.

What do I know mate in debating Lennon should have come on?
I thought I have been watching football for nearly four decades when clearly all I have been doing is not seeing the forest behind the trees all this time.

Well posted mate ;)
