Aaron Lennon ( On Loan January 2015 )

How much would you pay for Lennon in the Summer

  • Up to the rumoured 6 or 7 million - worth every penny

  • No more than 5 million - he's OK, but not worth any more

  • No more than 3 million - he's got no end product ffs

  • Wouldn't take him on a free, he's badly gash

  • Stop asking me questions and stick the grill on

Second half he looked great picking up the ball from deep and charging at the defence,
Yep.

then a sideways pass or was tackled...cant cross or pass.
Yep, definitely needs to work on this.

Havent seen the goal though amd has done better thanI expected but hardly the winger we need.
LOL

Fast as anything, excellent workrate and despite some questionable decision making in the final third actually looks to have some talent.

Provided the lads workrate isn't just to get a contract then I would snap him up for 6 - 7 million (which is bugger all to pay these days).

While we aspire to be a truly top side we are nowhere near it yet and Lennon would be an excellent signing in the interim.

TL;DR Koff Zat.

Brings an extra dimension to our game. I'd deffo sign him, but not for any more than 5/6 million. The biggest issue for me is that when his pace goes he won't be much use.

Agree with those who think we need to be really tight with how much we spend on him: nothing to do with him; more to do with the fact we are broke. Unless we sell, our transfer kitty is going to be buttons.

Have to say I love Aaron's attitude since he's come here. Has really brought energy and passion that we've been missing. Get a few more back to being that fired up (Coleman, Naismith) and we get the energy we need. Some of our better players are just a little unexpressive (Jags, Baines). That energy is a really important factor in getting the crowd going, which gets the team going, etc.

No idea how he played today, but thought he was boss against Southampton last week and he had some desire and a great engine.

He just looked thoroughly happy to be on a pitch and seemed determined to run himself into the ground in order to help his team.

If he can maintain that ethic, I'll be chuffed...

Missed the first half today.

He's 27 mate, no way i'd expect you to like him.

Should sign him up. Looks eager to play in the shirt and gives his all, can't get enough of how much he seems to be loving it here.

Yeah I hate wingers who score two point getting goals in three matches. Let's get one of them fancy dribblers that doesn't bring any substance...ah wait we already have McGeady.

Lennon has been terrific and deserves a contract. He does everything asked of him, and he's doing it quite well. If 6mil is all it's going to take, he's well worth it IMO.

If Kev stays and if we will sign Lennon, we'll actually have two non-gash wingers, one for each flank. The real question is: will Bobby play them in the same team often? And i'm sorta scared of the answer tbh
