Aaron Lennon ( On Loan January 2015 )

How much would you pay for Lennon in the Summer

  • Up to the rumoured 6 or 7 million - worth every penny

  • No more than 5 million - he's OK, but not worth any more

  • No more than 3 million - he's got no end product ffs

  • Wouldn't take him on a free, he's badly gash

  • Stop asking me questions and stick the grill on

Still not convinced about Lennon on a permanent. Yeah, he's done pretty well since he joined...but compared to what we've been used to this season, any half-decent player would have improved us. To push on we need better quality..not sure Lennon is in that category

oh whats that, stevie wigan defending the club no matter what, you have zero credibility in these cases

I don't think I'm alone in wondering what in the name of reality you actually mean by the above. What has having an opinion about our players got to do with 'defending the club'? You really either have a misguided agenda or are simply drunk.

I would take him for no more than £5m as one of the two(three?) wingers we're gonna need to sign in the summer.

Mirallas will be off and Atsu and Lennon's loans finish, so that's three wingers we'll be down on this season. I know Atsu has hardly featured but that's why the likes of Barkley/Naismith/Osman have had to play wide.

Lennon is to Coleman what Pienaar is/was to Baines. I had Lennon down as a touch-line hugging winger, but surpirsingly (at least to me) his best work has been covering (and freeing) Colman and occasional attacking play through the centre.

I'd pay 4/5m but I don't know if his current work-rate is part of his game or temporary to get a contract.

Tottenham supporters came on here when he signed and said that his work rate is fantastic. I think it's just part of his game and wouldn't change if we signed him.

Yep, can't fault his desire. Some people suggesting it might be a bad thing that he's trying to earn a contract. What's he meant to do?

....yep, saw a few comments like that. To be fair we have seen players form pick up when they are after a new contract but the advantage of having him on loan is that it gives the manager the opportunity to gauge if he is a top pro. I'm sure the club are also doing their homework, talking to people who have worked with him in the past.

The comments from @Yid4life when he joined us suggests he is the type who puts in a shift week in week out.
