Yeah Fergie had Moyes under the thumb, and would have sold Baines as well as Fellaini if he was in charge now. Looks like Martinez wont be under Moyes thumbs which was proven in Moyes outburst. Its all over now and we can move on with our new manager who will need to be strong.

Moyes & SAF are sitting infont of a fireplace as we speak. chilling, having velvety undies on, drinking 57 year old whisky n sucking thick cuban. Planning some serious ****

I think the relationship (if it can be put that way) between Everton and United got Everton a very easy ride in the press in the recent past. United are a powerful club and can dictate through their masses of contacts how a team/manager/club is portrayed in the media.

Martinez and Everton in general will get a rough ride from now on, IMO.

Did one exist between Everton under David Moyes and Man Utd under SAF..
Inever believed that it did but comments made by David Moyes suggested that when SAF then David Moyes answered, even to the point of being summoned to his house to be told which players Utd were taking,

The conduct of Utd in the final weeks of the transfer window leads me to believe that Utd certainly thought such an agreement existed. The conduct relating to the Fellaini bid was bizarre and of course the ramblings by David Moyes that players shold be allowed to fulfil their potential by being sold to Utd was disrespectful at best.

Ironically, David Moyes who was loved by so many Evertonians up to very recently treated Everton with far less respect than Utd under SAF ever did.

I would hate if Everton treated smaller clubs in the lower leagues in a similar matter.I would hope that we at least treat these clubs with respect and dignity. In future , I think we will see a lot more activity in the academy with players not being kept as long at the club and players being bought more often from the academies of teams in the lower divisions.

If Everton is ever to compete at football's top table it will be through the success of the academy rather than the shekels provided by some oil rich Arab.
We've gone back to Wigan and taken 4 players off them mate...... Ok, not in such a poor manner as moyes but we've still done it..... It's football.

11.35pm Saturday night post.....such gems as "lead me to beleive".

I'm thinking one two many Stella's on the back of a chinese takeout to avoid the x factor may be responsible.

Moyes and sheikhs out.

I think this may well be correct. I am partly nervous about that because the media can really put pressure on clubs and individuals but part of me also says yes bring it on. Don't want any favours from that shower. If we get to where we aspire to be we are going to be deadly enemies to them and that suits me fine.

So glad we got Martinez in for smith. Was glad gazes joined but he ain't got the legs no more with lukaku replacing Campbell I think it's a solid move.
