6th is Europe then?

With Citeh winning the Capital/Cocacola/milk/League/whatever cup today (3-1) it looks like 6th place will get us into Europe, presuming the Mancs won`t slip up and drop out of the CL places.
Would you have taken that (Europe) at the start of the season?
It is our place to loose now, i, for one will be disappointed not to qualify after the good first half of the season.
Or would some of you pass on this, to concentrate on trying for CL next season?
A pretty tough task for a club with our budget.

At the start of the season I would have taken top 10. Seeing as how the team has settled into Bob's way and the way the first half of the season went, I'd expect europe even if that is the Skoda of European competition.

Every year we go through this, but at least it means we're usually in the mix, which is a good sign.
Basically, we finish sixth or better, we're in.
Win the FA Cup, we're in.
Make the FA Cup final against City, we're in regardless of where we finish as City isn't going to drop out of the top four.
City and Arsenal play in the FA Cup final and both finish top five and we finish seventh, we're in.
Any other pairing in the final that doesn't include us and we finish seventh, hold off on renewing those passports.
I don't think Spurs winning the Europa means seventh place gets a spot unless Spurs qualify for the CL.

Oh yeah, forgot that the them who prevails in the final is assured of EL. If the team who win are already in Europe it goes to the runners-up. I they're also not in Europe goes to 6th/7th in the league dependant on the league cup.
