Those moaning would be the same ones moaning if it had been 60 odd k and looked insanely empty most weeks.

Exactly.

Lets see if we fill 52k every week, currently we would struggle after the initial new stadium bump.

Every empty seat costs the club money, its prudent to go small at first, but hey ho, cant expect the clueless to get such things.

Not really mate, will be the 8th biggest in the league and as I said Wolves and Leicester have all talked about possible development to around 50-55k so could end up being around 10th in the league the time its built.

Strange how Kenwright is on record saying he wants 55k when he's the chairman of the club!

West Ham's is 60k and it's a travesty. The Emirates is huge but it's anti-atmospheric.

Also, if the club genuinely believed we would fill another 10k seats, they'd build the 62k off the bat. They don't believe we will and I'll trust that they know more about their customers in data form that we do.

For those complaining, why the hell would you want us playing in near half empty stadium with no atmosphere?...

Like it or not, we're not a big enough club for a 60k+ stadium right now... Even 52k probably wouldn't be filled this season apart from the Liverpool and United games...

We don't need a huge stadium, we need a modernised version of Goodison a slightly bigger capacity... 52k is perfect for now..

True. It seems that atmosphere is heavily on the agenda. 62k stadium with 5-10k empty seats would not feel atmospheric it would look ridiculous and quite embarrassing. The option to expand signifies that they do not expect to fill a 62k week in week out initially. We want the wall of noise from filled seats.

Glad its been decided either way. Juve have got similar sized stadium, all about the intimidating design. Bring it on!! Also if they have got the capability to extend to 62k then spund ;) onwards blues!

Another level headed, rational thinking person.

The problem is in 4-5 years time how many clubs like Wolves, Leicester etc. Will have expanded to higher than 52k?

Sure its not a cock waving contest but it means something to have one of bigger stadiums in the league.
Yes, maybe, but let's not forget it's about the quality of Evertonians not the quantity of no-mark fans.

Tbf you only had to look at our managerial appointments to see that.

Koeman > Alladyce > Silva
As long as it passes the eye test I'm totally fine with that. Throwing a few thousand extra onto the capacity and possibly ruining the design all because a few virgins can't stand the idea of it being smaller than the London Stadium is not going to sway the opinion of actual experts like Dan Meis.

Potential investors will only be interested in the facts and right now the club must only able to project 52k as a deliverable starting number. If it can be increased later and keep the stadium looking brilliant then great. For now it's best to just leave it to the professionals rather than losing your head and basing your opinion on what some random fellas with no real clue on a podcast say.

I don’t know why you are all getting your knickers in a twist
You do realise that what you are arguing over is pointless

IT WILL NEVER BE BUILT

Or so I’m reliably informed lol
