It makes you wonder how on earth they thought building it that way was a good idea. It seems completely anti-spectator in every possible way.
Everyone drives. Though when I lived in New York, I was offered Giants and Jets tickets quite a few times and declined because it's a PITA getting out there, and I had a car.

I was thinking of this when US family visited Camp Nou for first time last month and they were surprised by its location embedded within the city. It is a decidedly different setup logistically for stadiums/arenas in US vs Europe

I can only think of Allianz arena as not really embedded in the city else most are accessible by public transport or simple walking - creates a very different atmosphere before & after matches

Indeed. The very idea of driving to a match seems completely alien. You walk or take public transport. You feel at one with the other supporters.. It doesn't have to be that way. I've been to a NFL game in New Orleans, and loads of people were walking to the stadium.
