Mate, foreign affairs did not lose this election for the Dems. Relentless messaging for 4 years about gas prices and crime by the right-wing and trad media were far more instrumental.

That and the clear message the US is not to be led by a competent woman. Unless, perhaps, she rants like a populist.

I'm afraid, that supporting Israeli genocide has greatly undermined America.

Mate in my original post I did say that Trump was way worse than any of those on so many different levels. So yes I obviously can see that as I stated such.

The inflection point for me was Clinton though, prior to that yes it's sink a politician it's why Kennedy's etc never saw the light of day for decades, was it Hart eho saw his presidential nominee campaign sink like a stone after his affair came out?

But something changed with Clinton to the point a candidates morality and character just seemed to no longer matter, I think that was the point truth and character died, Trump is just the most stark illustration that yea it indeed has but already had done prior.

Same in the UK when it became ok for a prime minister to have been known to have f'cked a pigs head to get into a society at University.

Clinton, nearly 30 years ago, does not explain the acceptance of a rapist, felon who gave away state secrets, etc.

Think what one will of the policies of Bush, Obama, Biden and the men they defeated - none come within the same atmosphere of Trump's depravity.

I think your point, which is fair, is this is on a continuum over time.

I think you'll agree the probability of Gaza being completely flattened and the West Bank sold to developers for hotels and Adelman casinos went up quite a bit tonight. As did the probability of genocide in Ukraine.

Don’t see it that way. For Americans this election was all about internal affairs. The economy, inflation, jobs.

In fact Trump would quite happily have Gaza and the Palestinians wiped off the map along with Iran.

No issue at all with Obama mate as a person, Bidens corrupt but most politicians to an extent are. Bush was a puppet for evil people (Chaney etc)

And no I wasn't using Whataboutism at all, I was saying what we see now is the ultimate end of the trajectory that started with the acceptance of Clinton's misdeeds and lack of truth and character.

Whataboutism is used to defend someone not to give an example of how it started how it progressed until the eventual destination.
