I dunno - he ran the country pretty well the first time without mass executions and starting nuclear wars which I think was widely suspected to be high up on his agenda. One of the above posters actually conceded that he did a decent job first time round.

I know if I'm a struggling family in the US having seen my disposable income drop over the last four years, it would be impossible for me to vote for a candidate that has run the country hand in hand with the current President, covered up his obvious mental decline and said she would had run the country exactly the same as he has.

That would give me absolutely no faith at all that's she's genuine and even less that she's the person to turn it around and leave me with more money in my pocket.

I feel that is what will ultimately cost her, but let's see.
1.2 million dead from his handling of COVID. Think that's lowering the bar to class it as running the country well.

If I'm a struggling family in the US having seen my disposable income drop over the last four years, I know that I wouldn't vote for they guy hellbent on tariffing everything in sight, giving tax breaks to billionaires, taking away my medical insurance, and who wants to diminish social programs such as social security, Medicare and Medicaid and others.

No, I certainly wouldn't want to do that

Trump’s tarrifs will make cost of living considerably higher

Last time he “ran the country pretty well”his tariffs caused huge problems for farmers with many going bankrupt and even the bailout he provided was poorly managed

Seems like it's two poor candidates then hence why it's being deemed a toss-up as to who wins. Time will tell who wins and if the country will burn to the ground if the wrong candidate wins.

“ROLL UP, ROLL UP!!!
Reject modern science and medicine TODAY!
And YOU TOO can die of an easily preventable disease, just like a medieval peasant!

Come get your Polio, Typhus & Smallpox today!

EVERYTHING MUST GO!”
"Do you find yourself missing the days of Covid, where hospitals were swamped and freezer trucks needed to store all the bodies? This time we can do it bigger and better with 3 epidemics at once!"

See this right here.

Only one candidate is saying stuff along these lines if they lose so how are the candidates equally poor?

If no changes are made, Texas will not have OB-GYN residency programs or only very sketchy graduates. No one will want to train or practice in Texas.
Meaning Texas maternal and infant mortality will rise even more.

Our youngest graduated Med School in May. He was adamant half of his class has no intention of practicing medicine in Texas so long as politicians continue to interfere in patient/doctor decisions.

That may be what it "seems like" to you. I'll refrain from any debate on why Kamala isn't a "poor candidate".

But why is this a toss up?

We've written literally 100s of pages on this topic in this thread and the US General Politics thread.

Hint - it has nothing to do with whoever the Democratic candidate is

Not surprised.
It has chilling effects on Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine as well as they would be left to provide care for pregnant patients.
