I was lukewarm to indifferent about her during her VP and said this on this forum a few times, mostly because she wasn't in the news that much; or maybe I wasn't paying that much attention. But when she rose to the presidential nomination I started to pay attention to both her qualifications and her background (i.e., the Frontline episode "The Choice: 2024" is great for understanding where she came from individually and politically) and rapidly grew to find her both not just a "better than Trump" candidate but one that is more than competent and quite qualified.

Yup, me too.
I guess the VP role is just a kinda nothing role.
I also think Michelle Obama would have been a great choice but only if there had been a primary season.
She continues to impress me especially given the treatment she's getting. That fire dept thing outside Pittsburgh is just one of thousands of examples of the hate she faces all the time.
Hate that a white man would only receive a fraction of.

What did he say about Cheney? Did he call him a Nazi or just a Fascist? Warmonger perhaps? I hope didnt say he'd lock him up, or put a target on him. And god forbid he called him Garbage.

My Congressman, Tim Burchett, just claimed on CNN that the US military has been in a lot of wars under the Biden administration, and not many under Trump. Absolutely wild take.

Also the head of Trumps transition team was on CNN yesterday drawing links between vaccines and autism.
None of this lunacy gets any other coverage
because it's like drinking from a firehose of insanity.

It's not unlike Newt Gingrich, who went on Hannity last night to complain about wives being encouraged to keep their votes secret from their husbands. I mean, can you imagine such a thing?
