Who is my favorite fake GOT member who is an evengelical christian with 4 kids and a master's degree from Hustler's University, who once banged a Swedish woman in a hotel room when he was 17 despite proclaiming that premarital sex is wrong and has seen every game that Alexi Lalas played in at the tender age of minus four? ...You know who!

Is it @Joey66 ?

Jesus wept

These watches are from a guy, Andrew Pierce, who founded the company thebestwatchesonearth LLC two months ago in Wyoming USA. He seems to have registered thousands of companies over the years in Wyoming.

As to the watch itself, a tourbillon watch (tourbillon means "cage" and is a way to keep the balance wheel/escapement--the two things that create a steady tick--suspended in a rotating cage so that gravity doesn't unduly effect them, since it is constantly rotating) usually costs upward 15K or more, but a guy named Oliver Mory managed to produce a tourbillon for 4K that he markets and sells to small independent watch makers. The movement is called BCP T02 caliber, which is found in his other watches (<--all this info comes from my friend Jessica, who knows watches!). What ostensibly makes this watch cost a lot is the gold and diamonds, not the tourbillon, but your name must be "Emir" if you're going to spend 100K on this watch and think you're getting a good deal. This Andrew Pierce guy probably just realized that he could talk to Oliver Mory's company, pre-order some watch movements/cases, bling them out, and then grift the Trumper's who have already been grifted by Trump. Andrew Pierce's company has no affiliation with Trump or his campaign.

@Gwladys St. Glory ^^^^ who ever thought we'd be talking watches in this thread?!?!?

I'd like to read our friend William's take on these horological masterpieces. Probably make the Patek Wart sound like a grail piece 🤣

For people who live their lives in the political bubble of the US then all the Project 2025 stuff looks like an existential threat.

But when you dont live there you have a different perspective; yes you can see the danger he and his conservative-loaded Supreme Court poses to progressive laws that have been passed; but from a global perspective the world has seen one term of Trumpism already and there was a marked difference in the willingness of Trump to become embroiled in foreign policy adventures. So although he comes across as a loose cannon and unfit for office, he doesn't come across as the existential threat he does to liberal-minded Americans. (To the non-American western elite he may be seen as a danger to NATO and being soft on the 'axis of evil' Russia-China, but to most ordinary/normal people that doesn't even register for them.)

In short, the thread is dominated by the concerns of liberal Americans, so that anyone outside of that cohort projecting ahead to the 2028 election for POTUS - beyond a second Trump presidency if it's to be that - looks fanciful, such is the level of fear about the abyss the US faces with Trump II.
Women’s right to abortion, same sex marriage, interracial marriage, right to health care regardless of pre-existing conditions…

Are these the “progressive” laws you’re referring to? One is already lost for a generation or more.

Dave, you want Trump to win because it hurts Ukraine the most. I don't know what's happened to you, but trying to soften Trump and his potential impact on democracy and human rights in the US is an absolutely laughable 180 turn from you when set against the sorts of stances you've taken over the years. You're a self-parody now

I doubt the gold and diamonds will be that valuable. 122 diamonds means nothing if you don't know the carat (they do not give the value). A single 2 carat diamond will always be worth way more that 2 carat worth of tiny diamonds. The gold is probably 1k at most. Being optimistic, the true value of that watch is no more than 5-10 grand. So you're paying 90k for Donald trump's autograph.

A very disturbing one at that.

I would also add that Dave's late-life goal is to be cOrReCt oN tHE IntErNeTs, so if Trump wins he'll remind us of his idiotic-takes on the 2024 election, and if Ukraine is forced to cede territory to a brutal authoritarian war-criminal who has Trump's backing he'll remind us of that idiotic-take as well. Etc.

Those watches look absolutely hideous

They'll have nothing but problems with them. Probably gold plated and fake jewels

i.e. Typical Donald Trump

Yup. He came straight on here after Biden dropped out to point out how we'd all been wrong and he, in fact, was right.
*no one on here had said it was too late for Biden to drop out. Everyone had said it was too late for other democrats to announce a run or challenge him.

You forgot about him pulling the head off it to Princess Diana when he was a teen, despite the fact she died before he was even born

I don't know about you but when I spend $100k on a watch I would like to know I'm getting exactly what is in the photo. There's some other good stuff from the FAQs in that thread
